CRTC - licences de Radio-Canada

18 mai 2012 - Le Conseil de la radiodiffusion et des télécommunications canadiennes (CRTC) tiendra finalement des audiences publiques pour le renouvellement de toutes les licences de la Société Radio-Canada /CBC à l'automne, soit dans la semaine du 19 novembre 2012. Le Conseil précisera sous peu la date limite pour le dépôt des mémoires et des observations du public. Il est donc important de se préparer en conséquence dès maintenant. Les « Amis de Radio-Canada » devraient intervenir massivement auprès du CRTC pour exprimer ce qu'ils attendent du diffuseur public, tant dans les stations régionales qu'au réseau, en information comme en programmation générale.

Le Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) se réjouit de cette annonce. Le SCRC est surtout particulièrement heureux que le CRTC n'autorise pas l'introduction de la publicité sur « Espace musique » et « Radio 2 » avant d'avoir statué sur l'ensemble des licences du diffuseur public.

Par contre le Syndicat s'inquiète du silence du CRTC concernant la fermeture des émetteurs ondes-courtes du service de Radio Canada International (RCI). Le Syndicat a pourtant demandé au Conseil de ne pas permettre la fermeture de ces émetteurs avant d'avoir entendu l'ensemble du renouvellement des licences du diffuseur public. De même la volonté de Radio-Canada de fermer les émetteurs analogiques de la télévision générale partout au pays en fera pas l'objet des audiences de l'automne, ce à quoi le Syndicat est aussi opposé.

CRTC - CBC licenses

May 18, 2012 - The Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) held public hearings to finally renew all licenses for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation / CBC in the fall or during the week of November 19, 2012.  The Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) ​​welcomes this announcement. The SCRC is especially delighted that the CRTC does not allow the introduction of advertising on "Space music" and "Radio 2" before deciding on all licenses of the public broadcaster.

For against the Union is concerned about the silence of the CRTC regarding the closure of transmitters Shortwave service of Radio Canada International (RCI). The union has yet asked the Council not to allow the closure of these transmitters before hearing the entire license renewal of the public broadcaster.
